What are the YS Job Bank features?

For Job Seekers:

Does YS accept all job/resume listings?

The Job Bank is meant to primarily be a resource for youth ministry. Since 1997, the YS Job Bank has been a leader in connecting churches with youth leaders. However, we also accept listings for Children’s Ministry, Camp Ministry and College Ministry positions as well.

Does YS verify the validity of churches listing positions, as well as people listing resumes?

YS does not take responsibility for any of the listings or any accuracy of the listings on the Job Bank. We are simply a platform to help people and organizations find and connect with each other. Take time to research more about each opportunity and don’t be afraid to ask for references. YS reserves the right to remove listings.

Does YS ever connect Job Seekers with Job Listers?

Is there a fee to post on the Job Bank?

Not for posting a resume, that’s free! However, listing a job does have a fee.

There are three levels available for job postings:

$49 allows your listing to be visible for 90 days. You also have access to browse listed resumes during that 90 day period. Your job listing will be featured on the homepage and near the top of job searches for the first 10 days it is listed.

$39 allows your listing to be visible for 60 days. You also have access to browse listed resumes during that 60 day period. Your job listing will be featured on the homepage and near the top of job searches for the first 5 days it is posted.

$29 allows your listing to be visible for 30 days. You also have access to browse listed resumes during that 30 day period. For an additional $20 your job listing will also be featured on the homepage and near the top of job searches for 30 days.

What extra features can I add to my post?

Category Feature – $10 – We will feature your post at the top of the individual categories for 30 days. For example: College / Young Adult, Youth Pastor / Director, or Christian Education.

Home Page Feature – $20 – We will feature your listing on the Job Bank homepage for 30 days.

Re-listing – $19 per additional 30 days – You can re-list your job ad at a reduced rate in the event that you do not fill the position.

Is the fee for organizations (job postings) and individuals (resumes)?

While listing a job position does have a fee, posting a resume is free of charge.

Can I submit more than 1 job posting?

Organizations posting job openings can post multiple positions, but not duplicates of the same post. There will be fees associated with each job listing.

If I post a resume, can I also search resumes?

No, posting a resume does not enable resume browsing; you must have an active, paid job ad.

Will YS edit or correct my job posting/resume?

YS does not correct misspellings or errors in posts and we are not responsible for the accuracy or legitimacy of listings. If your ad or resume needs changes, you can login to your account to edit it. YS reserves the right to remove listings.

How long does my job ad stay active?

Job listings will be displayed for either 30, 60 or 90 days, depending on your selection. It can be renewed for an additional fee, as well.

How long does my resume stay active?

Unless you delete it, the resume will display on the YS Job Bank for 90 days from the day it was first submitted or last updated. To keep it live, You need to renew/update it within the 90 days in order for it to continue to display. To this, preview it and then save. If you do not update or repost it, your resume will be dormant in our system permanently unless you delete it.

Can I delete my resume?

Yes, you can delete it from your account dashboard.

Is my Job Bank account login the same as

No! A Job Bank account is separate from a YS.com login, and you cannot login into the Job Bank from the Youth Specialties website; only from the Job Bank.

How do I create an account?

  • Go to jobbank.youthspecialties.com
  • Click on Login/Register towards the top right of the page
  • Select whether you are Job Lister or Job Seeker
  • Fill in Username, Email, Password, and other required fields
  • Click Create Account

How do I get my password?

  • From the Job Bank login page, jobbank.youthspecialties.com/login
  • Click “Lost Your Password” link
  • Enter your email address or username associated with the account.
  • You will receive an email containing a link to create a new password for your account.
  • How do I edit my account?

    Login into your account, On the right side of profile, click on “Edit Profile. After editing profile, click “Save”.

    How do I edit my job posting/resume?

    • Click on your job link
    • Under job description, click “Edit”
    • Click save after editing
