With personal devotion to Jesus and His mission being of first importance, this is an exceptional opportunity for a relational person who recognizes that they have something more to add to the church in addition to the youth ministry. Some examples include but are not limited to: worship, technology, preaching, small groups, young adults. Candidates should be prepared to share those areas of interest.

The Church

The Candidate

International Falls is an outdoor-centric, lake community and those who thrive here must love being outside and active throughout all four seasons. The right pastor will be a relational leader who models an authentic spiritual life marked by a devoted relationship with Jesus and a profound love for others. Being a self starter, gifted communicator, and visionary are needed strengths. Connecting in the community, breaking down barriers to entry, creating on-ramps to engagement and making it easy for people to get involved are also part of the role here. ECC strives to be a church that makes followers of Jesus in our area and the candidate must have the same heartbeat.

The Location

International Falls, Minnesota is a historic town of 6,500 on the northern border of Minnesota and Canada. Famous for being “The Icebox of the Nation”, the town is home to a large paper mill, a clinic and hospital, multiple school choices, an airport, and a bridge to Fort Frances, Ontario. Still, the town is only half of the community. The other half is Rainy Lake, and to experience Rainy Lake is to fall in love. World class fishing, resorts, and home to Voyageurs National Park are just some of what draw people to the area year round.
